MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) released its Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan. 8-14, 2023, with Maddie McCollins representing UW-River Falls as the Women's Hockey Athlete of the Week.

McCollins led the top-ranked Falcons to a trio of wins during the week, defeating College of St. Scholastica on Jan. 9, before a weekend sweep over UW-Stevens Point. McCollins totaled nine points on the week with six goals and three assists, including her fourth career hat-trick against the Pointers on Jan. 12.

The award is the sixth WIAC weekly accolade of McCollins' career, and the third this season. It also marks UWRF's sixth conference Athlete of the Week award this season, following Madison Lavergne (Dec. 11-17), Alex Hantge (Dec. 4-10), Jordan O'Connor (Oct. 30-Nov. 5) and Maddie McCollins (Nov. 13-19 and Nov. 27-Dec. 3).

No. 1-ranked UWRF (17-0, 5-0 WIAC) faces off against UW-Superior in a home & home series on Thursday and Saturday.
