ASHLAND, Wis. - The No. 1-ranked UW-River Falls women's hockey team defeated Northland College 8-1 Saturday afternoon.
With the win, duplicating Friday's night's score, the Falcons sweep the Lumberjills and improve the program record win streak to 21 games, which breaks a WIAC record. The previous record of 20 was also held by UWRF (11/23/2021 - 3/9/2022).
UWRF had eight different scorers;
Madison Kadrlik,
Aubrey Nelvin,
Bailey Olson,
Ellie Brice,
Madison Lavergne,
Katherine Bell,
Maddie McCollins, and
Makenna Kadrlik.Â
Alex Hantge and
Kaitlyn Ronn each had two assists while
Anna Rader made her second start of the season and collected 12 saves to earn her second win.
The Falcons had 75 shots on goal and went 1-for-2 on the power play.
The Falcons, now 21 overall and 9-0 in the WIAC, head to Saint Peter, Minn., to face No. 2-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College on Tuesday.
