Neither team was able to score in the first 45 minutes, despite an 8-4 advantage in shots by the Falcons. Freshman goalkeeper Alvaro Boned recorded four first-half saves, on his way to seven total saves in the win.
In the second half, the Falcons added 13 shots and saw an increase in goal chances. In the 60th minute, Harris scored a goal assisted by Christiansen and Noah Meschke to break the scoreless draw. Just over 10 minutes later in the 71st minute, Harris scored again, this time assisted by Richardson.
The Falcons added an insurance goal in the 85th minute, as Christiansen scored unassisted. Lawrence added a goal off a penalty kick in the 86th minute, but UWRF held off any further comeback and walked away victorious.
