- UWRF has won its last five matchups against Macalester
- In an exhibition against the Wisconsin Badgers in Madison, Wis., the Falcons kept the game within one possession with just under 13 minutes remaining in the game. Zac Johnson led all players with 23 points off 60% shooting from the field.
- UW-River Falls returns its two top scorers from last season, Zac Johnson (16.3 ppg) and Jack Leifker (13.8 ppg).
- Head Coach Jeff Berkhof leads UWRF, entering his 19th season at the program's helm. Berkhof has totaled 235 career victories during his time as head coach.
- Last season, UWRF posted a 15-12 overall record and went 8-6 in the WIAC.
