The No. 1-ranked UWRF women's hockey team is set to face a pair of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) opponents this weekend, hosting Augsburg University on Friday before traveling to Duluth, Minn., on Saturday to face the College of St. Scholastica.

• The Falcons are ranked No. 1 in both of the USCHO and DIII Hockey News preseason polls for the second consecutive week.
• UWRF opened its 2024-25 season last Saturday with an 8-2 win over Saint Benedict.
  • Kennedi Bielenberg-Howarth and Sami Pool both scored their first goals as a Falcon. Five Falcons with multi-point games, featuring two-goal efforts by Ellie Brice and Katherine Bell and a three-point night (one goal, two assists) from Sami Pool in her first game as a Falcon.
  • Megan Goodreau and Kaitlyn Ronn had two assists each.
  • With the season-opening win over CSB, UWRF extended its winning streak to 32 games dating back to last season, breaking a NCAA Division III record for overall winning streak, besting Middlebury's record of 31 set from 2021-22.
