The top-seeded and top-ranked UWRF women's hockey team is set to host No. 2 seed and No. 6-ranked UW-Eau Claire in the 2024 WIAC O'Brien Cup Championship this Saturday, March 4.

WIAC O'BRIEN CUP HISTORY
- The Falcons own an overall record of 28-3-2 during the WIAC Tournament and have won eight O'Brien Cup titles since its inception in 2014.
- Last season, UWRF defeated UW-Eau Claire 5-1 in the WIAC O'Brien Cup title game to win the program's fourth tournament championship in a row.
FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons are ranked first in the USCHO National Poll for the ninth consecutive week, receiving unanimous first place votes.
- UWRF swept No. 4 seed UW-Stevens Point last weekend in the WIAC Tournament Semifinals, improving to 27-0 to tie a program record for wins in a season. The 2021-22 Falcons also had 27 wins.
- UWRF closed out the regular season with a perfect 25-0 record. It marked the second time in which the Falcons went undefeated during the regular season, following the 2010-11 team who went 22-0-3.
- The Falcons rank first nationally with 5.5 goals per game, a 4.6 scoring margin, and a 0.352 power play percentage.
- Fifth-year senior forward Maddie McCollins is the nation's leading scorer with 60 points (31g-29a). Last Friday, she became UWRF's all-time leader in career games played and broke her own single-season goal scoring record that she set last season.
- Sophomore forward Megan Goodreau and senior forward Alex Hantge rank fourth and fifth nationally with 46 and 41 points, respectively. In addition, MaKenna Aure is the nation's second-leading scoring defender with 34 points (12g-22a).
- Senior goaltender Jordan O'Connor is tied for the DIII lead with a 1.000 winning percentage with a 19-0 record and leads the WIAC with a 1.07 goals against average, a .944 save percentage, along with seven shutouts (2nd/DIII).
