The No. 1-ranked UWRF women's hockey team concludes its season three-game series against WIAC foe UW-Superior this Saturday in Superior, Wis.

FALCON NOTES

• The Falcons improved from No. 2 to No. 1 in both of this week's USCHO and DIII Hockey News Division III national polls.
• UWRF suffered its first loss at Hunt Arena this Tuesday, falling 3-2 against No. 5-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College.
  • The Falcons held 38-23 edge in shots on goal with plenty of grade-A chances but couldn't overcome a pair of two-goal deficits, snakebitten by goaltender Lily Timmons and the Gustie defense. 
  • Katherine Bell and Bailey Olson scored Falcon goals while Catt Donna made 20 saves in net.
• Last weekend, the Falcons swept Northland College, outscoring the Lumberjills 17-1 at Hunt Arena.
  • Allisen Carothers led the Falcons with four assists and was awarded the WIAC Player of the Week.
  •  Bailey Olson led the Falcons with seven points off three goals and four assists, and surpassed 100 points in her career. She became the second Falcon this season to reach the century mark in career points, joining Megan Goodreau.
• UWRF ranks second in Division III with 5.6 goals per game with 119 goals, and lead the nation with 304 and 185 assists.
• The Falcon forward trio of Bailey Olson, Megan Goodreau, and Katherine Bell rank atop of NCAA Division III for scoring.
  • Olson leads the nation with 36 points, trailed by Goodreau with 35. Bell's 19 goals leads the country, having scored at least one goal in all but four games this season.
