The No. 1-ranked UW-River Falls women's hockey team continues WIAC play this Saturday, traveling to Eau Claire to open the three-game regular season series against the Blugolds.

THE SERIES
- Saturday's game will mark the 98th all-time meeting between the Falcons and Blugolds.
- UWRF has won nine in a row over UWEC, including four wins last season, capped off by a 4-1 UWRF victory last March in the WIAC O'Brien Cup Tournament championship game.
FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons remain ranked No. 1 by USCHO and DIII Hockey News in this week's DIII women's hockey polls, receiving 20 unanimous first-place votes in both rankings.
- UWRF is off to a 4-0 start to the season, most recently opening conference play last Friday, Nov. 14 with a 5-0 win at UW-Stevens Point.
- Five different Falcons found the back of the net in the win, and Jordan O'Kane made 22 saves to earn her second shutout of the season and the eighth of her career.
- Through four games this season, senior co-captain Megan Goodreau is the WIAC's leading scorer with 10 points off six goals and four assists.
- UWRF leads the WIAC with 5.0 goals per game and has outscored its opponents 20-4, including three power play goals and a pair of shorthanded goals - both by Goodreau.
