PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-River Falls volleyball team closed out its regular season with a 3-1 loss at UW-Platteville on Friday evening at Williams Fieldhouse, falling 3-1 (14-25, 25-23, 21-25, 11-25).
After a slow start in the opening set, where the Falcons hit -.054, UWRF bounced back in the second frame. Behind improved efficiency (.256 hitting percentage), the Falcons edged Platteville 25-23 to even the match.
The third set was tightly contested with two ties and a lead change, but Platteville pulled away late for a 25-21 win. In the fourth, UWRF struggled offensively, hitting -.147 as Platteville sealed the match 25-11.
Lauren Noth led the Falcons with 12 kills and nine digs, while Emily Brenner added seven kills and a block assist. Blessing Adebisi contributed six kills and three block assists at the net.
Cora Sayotovich led the team with 20 assists and defensively, libero Audrey Petersen anchored the back row with a team-high 21 digs.
As a team, UWRF recorded 44 kills on 158 attempts (.070 hitting percentage), 71 digs, and 10 block assists. Platteville countered with 45 kills and a .170 hitting percentage, along with nine service aces.
The Falcons finished the 2025 season with a 15-15 overall record.
