MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) released its Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of Dec. 8-14, with MaKenna Aure representing UW-River Falls as the Women's Hockey Athlete of the Week.

Aure tallied two points during the Falcons' 4-0 win over No. 6/7-ranked St. Norbert College on Dec. 13 at Hunt Arena, scoring her second goal of the season and assisting on the game-winning goal, on the power play. She is currently the top-scoring defender in the WIAC with 10 points.

The award is the second of Aure's career and UWRF's third WIAC Player of the Week award winner this season, following Megan Goodreau (Nov. 3-9) and Sophia Hess (Nov. 24-30).

The Falcons (9-1, 2-1 WIAC) return to action with a nonconference series at home against Concordia College, Jan. 2-3, 2026.
