The No. 1-ranked UW-River Falls women's hockey team will host Beloit College tomorrow evening in the first ever meeting between the Falcons and Buccaneers, as Beloit is competing in its inaugural season as a women's hockey varsity program.

- The Falcons remain ranked No. 1 by USCHO and DIII Hockey News in this week's national women's hockey polls.
- UWRF is coming off two wins over nationally ranked opponents over the weekend in Middlebury, Vermont at the Panther/Cardinal Classic, defeating Plattsburgh State 3-1 and Endicott College 3-1 to win the tournament.
- Sophia Hess totaled three points with two goals and an assist last week, including the game-winning goal on Sunday versus Endicott, and was named the WIAC Player of the Week.
- UWRF ranks top-10 in NCAA DIII with 69 total points, a +2.25 scoring margin, and a 31.8% power play percentage.
- Senior forward Megan Goodreau is the WIAC's leading scorer and ranks third nationally with 14 points off eight goals and six assists,
- Senior goaltender Jordan O'Kane has started all eight games in net and as allowed under two goals in six games, including a pair of shutouts.
