RIVER FALLS, Wis. — UW-River Falls baseball head coach
Steve Bartlein announced the addition of
AJ Lattery to the Falcons' coaching staff as the lead assistant coach & recruiting coordinator.
A native of Savage, Minn., Lattery comes to River Falls after his playing career at Oregon State University from 2020-24, competing at the highest level while helping lead the Beavers to four consecutive NCAA Tournament regional appearances. He pitched in nearly 90 innings over his career for OSU, compiling a 3.13 ERA with 90 strikeouts in 42 appearances. Lattery received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2023 and a graduate certificate in Leading and Creating Change from Oregon State in 2024.
Following his playing career, Lattery most recently served as an assistant coach, leading the pitching staff at Eastern Oregon University (2024-25). In addition, he has coached youth baseball with the Minnesota MASH program and has worked as an instructor at Oregon State's baseball camps.
Lattery's background also includes an internship with DAM Analytic Squad (2023–2024), where he collaborated with analytics teams to enhance pitching development through advanced scouting and the use of technology such as Trackman, Rapsodo, and Edgertronic systems.
