The UW-River Falls women's soccer team is set to open its 2025 season at home, hosting Crown College on Friday, August 29. The Falcons will host St. Norbert two days later on Aug. 31 at Ramer Soccer Stadium.
The Falcons are coming off a 9-9-2 season and a trip to the WIAC Tournament semifinals. Head Coach Sean McKuras leads UWRF in his 24th season leading the program.

FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons are 5-0 in their last five home openers, including an 8-1 victory over Crown College two seasons ago.
- The 2024 season saw UWRF earn its best finish in WIAC play since 2015. The Falcons defeated UW-Stevens Point 2-1 in the first round of the WIAC tournament to advance to the semifinals, where UWRF's season ultimately ended with a 3-0 loss at UW-La Crosse.
- Head Coach Sean McKuras enters the season seven wins away from reaching 200 career victories as a head coach. McKuras maintains the most career wins all time at UWRF and ranks fourth all time in the WIAC.
- The Falcons return First Team All-WIAC forward Ellie Ketcher and All-WIAC Honorable Mention defender Valerie Leonard.
- Ketcher led the Falcons with six goals and 43 total shots last season, during her sophomore year, ranking seventh in the WIAC in goals and fourth in shots per game. She did so in 14 games played.
- Leonard started in all 20 games for the Falcons and logged 1,688 minutes played, the second most of any player on last year's roster.
- UWRF enters the matchup against Crown College with a 3-0-0 advantage in the all-time series against the Polars.
- The Falcons are 0-2 all time against St. Norbert, with the teams last meeting in 2011. The Green Knights last visited River Falls in 2009.
