DECORAH, Iowa — The UW-River Falls men's soccer team fought back to secure a 2-2 non-conference draw against Luther College on Friday at Luther College Soccer Field, with Sorel Richardson delivering both goals for the Falcons.

UWRF improves to 3-3-2 overall, while Luther moves to 3-2-2. The Norse opened the scoring in the 31st minute when Elliot Lindberg scored, assisted by David Barlecaj, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime after outshooting the Falcons 10-1. UWRF struggled early but found their footing in the second half, with Richardson tying the game in the 84th minute from a penalty kick after a foul in the box.

Luther regained the lead in the 88th minute when Enzo Mitidieri scored off a Matthew Sale assist, but the Falcons responded swiftly. In the 89th minute, Richardson converted another penalty kick, his second goal of the match, clinching the draw. The late goals highlighted UWRF's determination despite Luther's 21-6 shot advantage (5-5 on target) and 11-2 edge in corner kicks.

Richardson led the Falcons with three shots, including two on goal, while Daniel Pirllo added one shot on goal and Josh Bates made three saves in net.

UWRF takes on Hamline next, Tuesday, Sept. 30th.
