THE SERIES
The Falcons and Buccaneers met for the first time on Dec. 3, 2025, with UWRF prevailing 8-0 at Hunt Arena.
FALCON NOTES
- UWRF went 3-0 last week, defeating No. 8-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College for the second time this season and sweeping UW-Superior for its 12th consecutive win.Â
- Senior goaltender Jordan O'Kane led the Falcons to back-to-back shutouts against Gustavus and UW-Superior and was named the WIAC Player of the Week.
- UWRF remains ranked No. 1Â in this week's USCHO and DIII Hockey News national rankings, receiving unanimous first place votes.
- The Falcons' power play has been a strength with 15 power play goals in the last six games, led by Megan Goodreau's 12 power play goals, which tied a WIAC record and broke a UWRF single-season record.
- Goodreau is also the NCAA Division III scoring leader with 42 points off 19 goals and 23 assists.Â
- Additionally, Sophia Hess is the top scoring freshman in the country with 28 points (14g-14a) and MaKenna Aure is the top scoring defender in the nation with 24 points (7g-17a) and recently became UWRF's first 100-point scorer as a defenseman in program history.
- Jordan O'Kane's five shutouts is tied for second most in DIII. She also ranks fourth in the nation with a 0.94 goals against average and eighth with a .952 save percentage.
