Falcons Host UW-Oshkosh in Homecoming Matchup

The No. 6/7-ranked UW-River Falls football team returns to Ramer Field this Saturday, Oct. 10 to host UW-Oshkosh during UWRF Homecoming.

  • No Readmittance Policy
    • Once a ticket is scanned for entry, there is no re-entry allowed. This policy applies to all fans, including students and guests. Exceptions for medical or accessibility reasons must be arranged with stadium staff at entry. The policy aims to enhance safety and streamline operations.
  • Tailgating and Parking Policy
    • Tailgating is allowed in Pay Lot 3 starting 4 hours before kickoff and must conclude 2 hours after the game. Only one vehicle per space is permitted. Propane and gas grills are allowed; charcoal and open flames are not. All fans are expected to clean up and behave responsibly. Parking is $10 for single vehicles and $25 for RVs/oversized vehicles.
  • Gameday Alcohol Sales
    • UWRF Athletics is proud to partner with Chartwells to offer beer and wine for purchase inside Smith Stadium.
    • Beer and wine sales will be available when gates open (90 minutes prior to kickoff) until the end of the third quarter.
      • NEW in 2026: Swinging Bridge Brewing Company's official UWRF co-branded craft beers, Falcon Red and Falcon Flight Light, will be available at Falcon football games and can be enjoyed throughout Smith Stadium.

AGAINST THE TITANS
  • Saturday's game marks the 69th all-time meeting between UW-River Falls and UW-Oshkosh, with the Falcons holding a 37-30-1 series lead.
  • UWRF has won three of the last five meetings, including back-to-back wins in 2021 and 2022. The Titans claimed last season's matchup 21-17 in Oshkosh, Wis., handing the Falcons their lone loss of the 2025 national championship campaign.
IN THE RANKINGS
  • UWRF is ranked No. 6 in this week's D3football.com Top 25 and No. 7 in the AFCA Coaches' Poll. The Falcons were ranked No. 2 in both polls last week.
FALCON NOTES
  • Interim head coach Jake Wissing, in his 16th season at UWRF and first as head coach after five years as defensive coordinator, earned his first career victory in the Falcons' 73-7 season-opening win over Southern Virginia on Sept. 3.
  • UWRF leads the WIAC and ranks fifth in NCAA Division III in total defense, allowing just 192.8 yards per game. The Falcons also lead the WIAC in passing defense (127.0 yards per game) and fewest opponent first downs (10.8 per game), while opponents have converted just 10 of 59 third-down attempts.
  • The Falcons have controlled both sides of the ball through four games, outgaining their opponents 1,716-771 in total offense. UWRF ranks third in the WIAC with 429.0 yards per game and second with 101 first downs, more than doubling their opponents' total of 43.
  • UWRF has lived in opposing backfields with 35 tackles for loss and 14 sacks through four games. Noah Nusbaum leads the Falcons with 27 tackles and ranks second in the WIAC with 5.5 tackles for loss, and has two sacks. Kody Curtis has five tackles for loss and a team-high 2.5 sacks.
  • UWRF's offense continues to feature balance, averaging 241.0 passing yards and 188.0 rushing yards per game. The Falcons have scored 10 touchdowns through the air and nine on the ground, with nine different players accounting for at least one touchdown.
  • Quarterback Cade Fitzgerald has directed a balanced Falcon offense, accounting for seven touchdowns through four games with four passing and three rushing.
  • Trevor Asher leads the Falcon ground game and ranks fourth in the WIAC with 317 rushing yards, averaging 6.3 yards per carry. Asher has scored four total touchdowns and leads UWRF with 378 all-purpose yards.
  • Austin Rush and Ben Wesolowski have formed one of the WIAC's top receiving duos, with both ranking among the conference's top 10 in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Rush leads UWRF with 21 catches for 297 yards, while Wesolowski has 17 receptions for 193 yards. Both have three touchdown catches.
