Leifker Leads Falcons on Senior Night in Loss to Stout

RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team dropped a 66-52 decision to UW-Stout Wednesday evening inside Don Page Arena. Tonight also marked Senior Night for Jeremy Wanguhu, Gavin Ralph, and Jack Leifker, who were recognized prior to tip-off for their contributions to the Falcon program.

UW-Stout (9-15, 5-8 WIAC) jumped out early, holding the Falcons to just 18.5 percent shooting in the opening half. The Blue Devils built a double-digit lead heading into the break as UWRF went 5-of-27 from the field and 0-for-8 from three-point range in the first 20 minutes.

The Falcons found their rhythm in the second half, shooting 46.7 percent after halftime and outscoring Stout 36-35 over the final 20 minutes. However, the early lead built by the Blue Devils proved to be too much in the end.

Jack Leifker led the way with 13 points and with a team-high nine rebounds. Jeremy Wanguhu added 11 points and three boards, while Reid Tengblad provided production off the bench with 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line.
