ATLANTA, Ga. — The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its NCAA Division III award winners for the 2025-26 season on Thursday, March 19, with
Zoey Buchan representing UW-River Falls as an Honorable Mention selection.
Buchan, a senior guard from Johnston, Iowa, becomes just the second Falcon in program history to earn All-America recognition, joining Rita Hurtgen (1995).
She capped her Falcon career in 2025-26 with All-WIAC First Team honors, surpassing 1,000 career points while leading UWRF to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2016. A two-time WIAC Player of the Week this season, Buchan ranked among the league's top performers, finishing top five in scoring at 14.6 points per game while shooting .379 from three-point range and .845 from the free throw line.
Buchan will also represent UWRF at the 2026 WBCA Division III Senior All-Star Game, held March 19-21 in Salem, Va., as part of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Final Four weekend. She is one of 20 seniors selected from across the country to compete in the annual showcase, which recognizes the top graduating players in Division III women's basketball.
