UWRF Women's Basketball Earns At-Large Bid to NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Committee announced the 64-team field for the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship this afternoon, with UW-River Falls receiving an at-large bid and set to travel to Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.

The Falcons will face Ripon College in the first round on Friday, March 6, with a 5:30 p.m. tip-off at Memorial Auditorium on the campus of Concordia. The host Cobbers will play UW-Superior following the Falcons' game.

UWRF is making its sixth appearance in the NCAA Tournament in program history and its first since 2016. The Falcons posted a 16-11 overall record and 8-6 WIAC mark during the 2025-26 regular season, highlighted by four wins over nationally ranked opponents, including a regular-season finale victory over UW-Whitewater that secured home-court advantage in the 2026 WIAC Tournament.

The Falcons defeated UW-Platteville in the first round of the WIAC Tournament before falling to top-seeded UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
