Four Falcons Named CCM/AHCA Women's Hockey First Team All-Americans

GLOUCESTER, Mass. – NCAA Division III women's hockey head coaches have recognized the top 30 players in the nation by selecting them as CCM Hockey/AHCA All-Americans for 2025-26, as announced Thursday, March 26. Jordan O'Kane, MaKenna Aure, Megan Goodreau, and Sophia Hess represented UW-River Falls.

The quartet was selected to the West First Team, marking the most First Team All-Americans in program history and the most by any school on this year's All-American teams. Megan Goodreau was also named the Laura Hurd Player of the Year, becoming UWRF's third consecutive recipient and the fourth in the last five seasons.

Senior goaltender Jordan O'Kane (Alexandria, Minn.) earns All-American honors for the second time in her career after being named to the Second Team a season ago. A First Team All-WIAC selection, she leads NCAA Division III with a .960 winning percentage and ranks third with eight shutouts. O'Kane recently set UWRF and WIAC single-season records with her 24th victory, making a career-high 37 saves in a 1-0 shutout win over Williams College in the NCAA Quarterfinals.

Senior defenseman MaKenna Aure (Alexandria, Minn.) becomes the first four-time All-American in program history. Already the program's highest-scoring defenseman entering the season, she became the first Falcon blueliner to surpass 100 career points and currently leads all NCAA Division III defensemen with 39 points (13 goals, 26 assists) in 26 games.

Senior forward Megan Goodreau (Lino Lakes, Minn.) is now a three-time All-American and earns First Team honors for the second time in her career. The WIAC Player of the Year has appeared in all 29 games this season and leads the nation with 74 points (36 goals, 38 assists), adding 17 power-play goals and seven game-winning goals. She has broken multiple program records and is now UWRF's all-time leading scorer.

Freshman forward Sophia Hess (Cold Spring, Minn.) was named a Laura Hurd Player of the Year finalist and the WIAC Newcomer of the Year. The nation's top-scoring freshman, she ranks second overall in NCAA Division III scoring behind linemate Goodreau. Hess has appeared in all 28 games and ranks second on the team in multiple statistical categories, including six power-play goals and two game-winning goals, while recording two hat tricks. She was also named the Panther/Cardinal Classic MVP after scoring the game-winning goal against Endicott in the championship game on Nov. 30. Hess is the fourth freshman All-American in UWRF history.

This group has led the Falcons to a third consecutive NCAA semifinal appearance while securing the WIAC regular season title and the program's seventh straight WIAC O'Brien Cup championship. UWRF enters the weekend with a 28-1 overall record and leads Division III in scoring.

The Falcons will host Amherst College on Friday, March 27, in the NCAA Semifinals at 7 p.m.
