LA CROSSE, Wis. — The UW-River Falls baseball team dropped a pair of WIAC contests on Sunday afternoon in a doubleheader at UW-La Crosse, falling by scores of 10-0 and 7-0.
The Falcons, now 5-8 overall and 0-4 in the WIAC, return home to host the University of Northwestern on Tuesday, March 31.

La Crosse broke open a scoreless game with a run in the second before plating three in the third and two more in the fourth to take control early in a 10-0 win in the opener.
The Eagles used a combination of timely extra-base hits and power, highlighted by a two-run home run from Sam Viniard in the third and a two-run blast from Luke Walton in the fourth. Emiliano Ramos later added a two-run homer in the sixth as part of a four-run frame that pushed the lead to double digits.
UWRF scattered five hits in the contest, with Max Krebs leading the way with a 2-for-3 performance that included a double. Colton Skoglund also doubled, while Tanner Hraby and Kaleb Zabielski each added a hit.
UWL starter AJ Curtis tossed a complete-game shutout, allowing five hits while striking out eight.
Brett Sullivan took the loss for the Falcons allowing five runs over three innings. Evan Senobe struck out three in relief, while Isaac Mens and Parker Nedland also saw time on the mound.

UWL again controlled the game from the outset in game two, scoring in the first inning before adding another in the third to build an early 2-0 lead.
UWRF was limited offensively throughout, finishing with five hits while striking out 14 times. Tanner Hraby led the Falcons with a pair of hits, including a double, while Patrick Lundgren, Carter Klein, and Max Krebs each recorded one hit.
Starting pitcher Cade Bruett kept the Falcons within striking distance, allowing three runs over six innings while working around four walks. However, La Crosse added insurance late, including back-to-back home runs in the seventh inning to extend the lead.
The Eagles tacked on three more runs in the eighth to account for the final margin. Owen Deprez earned the win for La Crosse, tossing eight shutout innings with 12 strikeouts.
