RIVER FALLS, Wis. — The UW-River Falls women's tennis team earned a 4-3 victory over UW-Stout on Saturday inside Knowles Fieldhouse.

With their third in a row and on the week, the Falcons' overall record improved to 7-15, and 4-3 this spring. UWRF will face UW-Stevens Point in the first round of the WIAC Tournament next Tuesday, April 21 in Stevens Point, Wis.

UWRF secured the doubles point by winning two of three matches. Brooke Lindeman and Hailey Reuvers picked up a 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles, while Emma Yanish and Mykela Hanson followed with a 6-4 win at No. 3. UW-Stout's lone doubles win came at No. 1.

The Falcons split the six singles matches, but did enough to hold on for the team victory. Lindeman led the way at No. 2 with a 6-3, 6-3 win, and Sarah Baker added a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 3.

Mykela Hanson proved decisive at No. 6, earning a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win to secure the fourth team point. UW-Stout claimed wins at No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5, with the No. 5 match going to a third-set super tiebreak.
