Following a strong debut at C3 2026 last weekend in Milwaukee, Falcon Esports is on the road again to compete in one of the largest Super Smash Bros. tournaments in the world: Riptide. River Falls will compete in their 3^rd overall Riptide Collegiate Crew bracket and their first since finishing 7th in the Silver division at Riptide 2024. Senior Christian Farnsworth, now team captain, is the only returning member from that roster. Farnsworth had several highlight moments at that 2024 tournament in which he opened the weekend for UWRF by taking 6 straight stocks off Cleveland State.



The Falcons will kick off the varsity collegiate bracket this year against fellow Wisconsin Esports Conference champion UW-Milwaukee in the opening round. Both teams last faced off in the quarterfinals of the WEC Championship tournament in spring with the Panthers coming out on top on way to their first championship. Following Collegiate Crews, UWRF Esports will be competing in Ultimate Singles, Doubles, and Squad Strikes throughout the 3-day event.
