The UW-River Falls men's soccer team continues their non-conference slate this week with a pair of matchups against Luther College and Buena Vista University.
The Falcons host Luther on Thursday, Sept. 17 at Ramer Soccer Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m. before traveling to Storm Lake, Iowa, to face Buena Vista on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 3 p.m.

FALCON NOTES
- UW-River Falls enters the week with a 3-2-1 overall record, winning back-to-back matches, shutting out Minnesota Morris 3-0 on Saturday before earning a 1-0 road victory over Wisconsin Lutheran on Monday. The Falcons are a perfect 3-0 on the road this season.Â
- Against Minnesota Morris, the Falcons scored three times during the opening half. Victor Vancauteren opened the scoring with Ravel Martin and Sorel Richardson adding goals to give UWRF the 3-0 advantage. Jaime Mata made five saves in net, recording the shutout.
- The Falcons broke through in the 9th minute against Wisconsin Lutheran when Gabriel Abad Lobo found the back of the net for his first goal of the season. Mata and the Falcon defense held the Warriors scoreless the rest of the way to secure their second consecutive victory and third shutout of the season.
- The Falcons have outscored their opponents 13-5 through six matches while averaging 2.17 goals per game. UWRF has totaled 87 shots, 45 on goal, while holding its opponents to 59 shots and 27 shots on goal.Â
- Sorel Richardson leads the UWRF attack with three goals and six points through six matches. Hunter Berry and Carter Eklund and Vancauteren have each scored twice, while Ben Harris has totaled a goal and a team-high two assists.Â
- Mata, who was named the WIAC Kwik Trip Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week, has allowed just one goal across 296:55 minutes in net. He owns a 0.30 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage with 11 saves and two individual shutouts.Â
