RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls women's golf team opened its 2026 fall campaign by hosting the Falcon Invite Sept. 5-6 at River Falls Golf Club, carding a 36-hole team score of 669 (+93) to finish fourth among 12 teams.

UWRF posted rounds of 337 on Saturday and 332 on Sunday, with the combined score marking the best 36-hole team score in the history of the Falcon Invite.

UW-Stout captured the team title with a score of 614 (+38), placing four golfers among the top 10 on the individual leaderboard.

Junior Lily Sullivan led the Falcons, tying for 12th place with rounds of 80 and 82 for a 162 total. Megan Bermejo also finished inside the top 25, tying for 22nd with a 167 (82-85), while Madison Haines tied for 27th at 169 (87-82) and Martha Effertz finished 30th at 171 (88-83). Freshman Lexi Marks led UWRF's B team with a score of 168 (83-85), tying for 25th.

Six of the nine Falcon golfers improved their scores from the first round to the second.
