Kora Torkelson is from Thief River Falls, Minn., where she played for Thief River Falls High School, and led her team to a State Tournament Championship as a sophomore, scoring three goals and adding two assists in the tournament placing her on the All-Tournament Team. As a junior and senior, she was her team’s captain and leading scorer. She was All-Section all four years, and All-State her junior and senior years. She was also in the National Honor Society with a 4.0 GPA. Her senior year, she scored 23 goals, and 20 assists, for 43 points. She is the daughter of Danita and Brett Torkelson. She is majoring in Elementary Education.
