This is Brent Larson’s third season as assistant men’s basketball coach at UW-River Falls in 2018-2019.
During the 2014-2016 seasons, Larson was an assistant men's basketball coach at UW-Eau Claire.
Prior to joining the college ranks, Larson was the head varsity basketball coach at Somerset High School for six years and compiled a 76-61 record. The Spartans were three-time Regional Champions from 2011-2014 and in the 2013-2014 season were Middle Border Conference Co-Champs with a school record 21 total wins.
His collegiate basketball career was split between Central Michigan University and UW-Stevens Point. At UW-Stevens Point, Larson helped lead the Pointers to two WIAC championships in 2000 and 2001 and was an All-Conference performer.
Larson received his bachelor’s degree in biology at UW-Stevens Point and earned his master’s degree in physical therapy at UW-La Crosse.
Larson will play a major role in the Falcon recruiting efforts, scouting and perimeter player development.
Larson resides in Hudson, WI with his wife Katie and their three children, Devin (8), Lucas (6), and Alyssa (4).
