Biography

Amanda Ryder is in her senior season for the Falcons and she is from Menomonie, Wis. In high school she was an all-state softball player and played her high school hockey for the Minnesota Thoroughbreds and was the team captain her senior year. She was also a member of the National Honor Society. As a freshman Ryder played some forward, but mostly defense. She was named to the first All-NCHA team in both her freshman and sophomore seasons. In 2010-11 she only played in a few games before receiving a medical red shirt. Ryder came back with a strong season in 2011-12 finishing with two goals and eight points. She was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll as well as the NCHA All-Academic team. She is the daughter of Bill and Judy Ryder, she has one brother and one sister and she is majoring in health and human performance with a minor in health.
