Alison Jennings enters her third season as head women's lacrosse coach in 2021.
In 2019 the programs inaugural season, the Falcons finished 11-5 overall and outscored their opponents 214-165. Under her guidance sophomore transfer Gina Jablonski scored 51 goals for the Falcons.
Jennings came to River Falls from Augsburg College, where she was an assistant coach for four seasons. She helped build the foundation of the women’s lacrosse program at Augsburg, which was the first NCAA lacrosse program in the state of Minnesota. In her four years with the Auggies, the team saw improved records each year and finished this past season with a program best 12-6 record and a Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Tournament semifinal finish.
Jennings also served as the head coach at Osseo-Park Center High School from 2011-2017 and is currently a head coach in the Minnesota Lakers Select Club Lacrosse program.
"I'm excited for this opportunity to build a program that aligns with the University of Wisconsin- River Falls tradition of excellence,” Jennings said. “UW-River Falls is the first public university in Wisconsin and the surrounding areas to add lacrosse. This gives student-athletes the opportunity to play lacrosse at the NCAA level while also receiving a great education at a more affordable value".
Jennings earned a B.S. degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota in 2011. She added a Master of Arts degree in Leadership from Augsburg in 2017. She played four years for the Gopher women’s lacrosse club team. She served as the president, team captain and fundraising chair of the team.
