In the first, Lake Forest jumped out to a 1-0 lead. The Falcons
Breanne Hrabe (New Prague, MN, New Prague HS) went to the sin bin twice in the period for a hook at 4:53 and a check at 9:03. Each set up a Forester power play. Lynn Switaj capitalized on Hrabe's hooking seconds later 5:00 into the period for Forester lead. Later in the period,
Jami Weiss (Hermantown, MN, Proctor-Hermantown HS) tied the game at one with her first goal of the season on a Falcon power play.
Alyssa Black (Mankato, MN, West HS) and
Judy Daleiden (Blaine, MN, Blaine HS) assisted.
The second period was quiet with no penalties. The Falcons took a 2-1 lead 7:34 into the period off an
Ashly Berner (Plymouth, MN, Armstrong HS) goal at 7:34.
Katie Flanagan and
Kait Mason assited on the play.
The third period was even more quiet. Neither team commited a penalty, but it was a physical period with several stoppages for collisons.
For the game, the Falcons out shot Lake Forest, handily, 48 to 15. Each team went 1 for 2 on the power play and commited two penalties for four minutes. All penalties came in the first period.

Cassi Campbell (Anchorage, AK, Toronto Rattlers) held off 14 of 15 Forester shots en route to her third win of the season and is now 3-0-0 on the season.
The Falcons improved to 5-0-0 and 4-0-0 in NCHA play with the win. Up next, the Falcons will face St. Olaf on Tuesday at 7:05 at Hunt Arena.
