Huppert Scores Goal, Gets Assist, to Lead Men's Hockey Team to Win

Falcons Improve to 3-0 With 2-1 Win at Bethel

Blake Huppert scored a goal, and had an assist on the game-winner, to help lead the Falcon men's hockey team to a 2-1 win at Bethel University on Friday night.

The Falcons improved to 3-0 with the win and will play at Hamline on Saturday with face off set for 7 p.m.

Huppert scored his first goal of the year at 9:42 of the opening period to give the Falcons the lead. Adam Cardwell and Alex Murphy got the assists.

The lead lasted until BU's Jack Paul scored his second goal of the year with his team on the power play at 5:18 of the second stanza.

Sean Roadhouse scored what proved to be the game winner at 4:29 of the third period. It was his second goal of the season and he was assisted by Huppert and Jeff Burke.

Falcon goalie Scott Lewan picked up the win, he is now 3-0, making 19 saves. BU goalie, Matt Rowe, stopped 33 UWRF shots.

BU, now 1-2 this year, was 1-4 on the power play while the Falcons finished 0-3. UWRF had six shots on its three power-play opportunities. Bethel had three shots during its four power plays.
