Women's Hockey Moves Win Streak to Four After 9-0 Victory

Fourteen Different Falcons Contributed to Scoring

Fourteen different Falcons scored in a 9-0 UWRF victory over the Finlandia University Lions this afternoon. This was the fourth straight win for UWRF.

The Falcons first goal was scored when Dani Buehrer scored on a power play goal at 4:53 of the first period. This was Buehrer's first goal of the season. Alyssa Black recorded the assist on the play. UWRF went 2-3 on power play attempts in the game and the Lions went 0-2 on power play opportunities.

UWRF would get hot late in the first period adding four more goals scored by Katie Batters, Kait Mason, Judy Daleiden, and Jackson. Kendal Evenson recorded two assists in the first period and finished the game with three total assists. Evenson now has nine assists on the season.

The Falcons dominated the shot total by attempting 66 shots on goal. The Lions recorded four total shots all stopped by Meaghan Wenner who had her first career shutout and win in the game. The Lions goalie Breanna Hynes recored 57 saves in the game.

UWRF would add three more second period goals. Batters scored her 13th goal of the season at 1:59 into the period.

Black scored at 3:24 into the period for her fifth goal of the season.

Late in the period at 17:22 Jackson added her second goal of the game assisted by Chloe Kinsel and Amanda Ryder.

The Falcons only third period goal came early at 1:52 for their second power play goal of the game. Sam Greeley scored the goal for her second of the season.

UWRF is now 11-4-2 after the win. They will look to continue their win streak tomorrow when they host Finlandia University again. The puck is set to drop at 2:05 p.m.
