Box Score The Falcon volleyball team lost a WIAC match at UW-Platteville on Friday night, 3-1.
The Falcons dropped the first two sets 25-19 and 25-17, but avoided the sweep in set three, winning 25-20. But they eventually lost the fourth and final set, 25-14.
Freshman Raven Kline had a team high 32 assists and
Brianna Muetzel had 23 digs. While
Jean Theis had 11 kills and
Rebecca Gasper added nine more to the team's 42 kill total.
Kadie Brooks led UWRF with two aces and she had 14 digs. Gasper had one solo and three block assists and Theis had four block assists.
Platteville was strong defensively with 16 total blocks on the night and held River Falls to just .084 on the attack. The Pioneers were also strong offensively hitting .204 on the night, led by Stephanie Kirchner with 16 kills and Leeann Mizgalski with 15.
The Falcons, now 16-12 overall and 3-4 in the WIAC, will play its final WIAC match of the season on Saturday at noon at UW-La Crosse.
