Twelve different UW-River Falls Falcons (2-4) scored in a 72-51 victory over Northland College (1-4).
UWRF was led by
CJ Lewis who hit four threes and scored 17 points going 5-8 in the game.
Joe Deppe also hit double digits in points with 11 and added a team high three assists while
Garret Pearson scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds off the bench. The Falcon bench contributed 43 points in the game.
Four minutes in to the game Northland led 6-4 but after a Lewis three at 15:08 the Falcons would never trail again. UWRF jumped out to an 18-6 lead before Northland scored again with 9:46 left in the half. UWRF continued to dominate the half taking a 40-19 lead into halftime.
Norhtland battled early on in the first getting within 10 points with 10:46 to go in the game but UWRF went on a roll from then on and went on to win by 21 points.
Jon Christensen led the team with eight of the Falcons 47 rebounds. UWRF shot 26-57 (45.6) in the game.
The Falcons finished 1-1 at the Merrill Thompson Classic in Superior and will open up WIAC play Wednesday evening at UW-Superior with tip off set for 7 p.m.
