Box Score The Falcon volleyball team won the first two sets, but eventually lost, 3-2, to UW-Oshkosh in the third place match at the WIAC Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons won the first two sets, 25-18 and 25-23. But UWO won the next three, 25-19, 25-23 and 15-13 to win the match.
Rebecca Gasper had a big day for the Falcons finishing with 24 kills and a .476 hitting percentage. She also had two aces, five digs and two block assists. Three other Falcons had solid offensive days - Taylor Fertig and
Katie Duff each had 12 kills and
Brianna Muetzel finished with 11. The Falcons hit .259 in the match.
Raven Klein led the Falcons with 63 assists. She also had seven digs and one ace. Muetzel, Gasper and
Michaela Piechowski each had two aces and the Falcons had seven in the match.
Lexi Pingel led the Falcons with 30 digs. Muetzel wasn't far behind with 29 and
Kadie Brooks had 10. Fertig, Gasper and Duff each had two block assists.
Nerissa Vogt led UWO (31-7) with 18 kills.
The Falcons end the 2014 season with a 13-20 record.
