The UW-River Falls Falcons (3-5) controlled the evening over the St. Catherine University Wildcats (6-3) winning in three sets.
UWRF easily took the first two sets winning 25-15 and 25-14 over the Wildcats. After St. Cats changed up their line up a bit going into the third set the Falcons had to rally to take the third set 25-21 to win the set and the match.
UWRF hit a .266 on the day including a .385 in the first set.
Brianna Muetzel played strong hitting a .429 and tied for the highest amount of attacks on the team with 21 while putting up a team high 11 kills.
Rebecca Gasper also had 21 attacks with nine kills.
Lisa Keppers finished with seven kills and
Tayler Fertig with six.
Raven Klein had 36 assists in the game while also recording eight digs.
The Falcons had a total of 59 digs in the game led by
Lexi Pingel who had 15. Muetzel added to her great match with 11 digs and
Kadie Brooks had nine.
The Wildcats had 14 total kills and 41 digs in the match.
The Falcons head to the Ripon College Invitational this weekend to play four matches and will start WIAC play on Friday, Sept. 26 hosting UW-La Crosse.
