Box Score 2 The Falcon volleyball team split in two matches play on Friday at the Ripon College Tournament.
The host school beat the Falcons, 3-2, and UWRF came back to win the second over the Milwaukee School of Engineering, 3-0. Against Ripon the Falcons won the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-23, But Ripon won the last three, 25-9, 25-20 and 17-15. Against MSOE the Falcons won, 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.
Ripon 3, River Falls 2UWRF had an outstanding .393 hitting percentage in the first set, but then didn't hit over .152 in the other four. The Falcons were led in hitting from their outside hitters in the match.

Dayna Dols stepped into the lineup and performed well. She led the team with 38 assists and she had two kills, one ace, five digs and two block assists.
UWRF had 12 aces led by
Hali Tasler and
Lexi Pingel with three each. The pair also led the Falcons in digs - Pingel with 15 and Tasler with 12. The two Falcon middle hitters led the team in blocks.
Lisa Keppers had one solo and three block assists while
Rebecca Gasper finished with three block assists.
River Falls 3, MSOE 0The Falcons rebounded with a big effort in beating MSOE in the second match of the day.
Muetzel again led the Falcons with 10 kills. Tasler added nine kills and Gasper eight. Gasper also had two aces, two digs, and two block assists. Once again Dols played well with 33 assists, one ace and three digs. Pingel had 12 digs and one once aces.
Amara Meyer had a strong defensive match finishing with three solo and three block assists to lead UWRF. She also had seven kills.
"The team did a great job adapting to the lineup change with (setter)
Raven Klein out," said Falcon Coach
Patti Ford. "Dayna came in and did a great job. We just ran out of steam against Ripon, but regrouped and had a great match against MSOE."
Saturday the Falcons, now 4-6, play two more matches at the Ripon Tourney. They play Dubuque at 10 a.m., and St. Mary's at noon.
