Box Score 2 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) The Falcons (10-16) played their first two matches at the Eau Claire invitational.
The first match was a close win for the Falcons carrying on from their big win last weekend, 25-23, 25-20, 27-25. Against Minnesota Morris (14-9).
Rebecca Gasper led the Falcons offensively with 12 kills, followed by
Brianna Muetzel with 11 kills and
Molly Monahan with 9.
Raven Klein ending the match with an evening high of 38 assists. The Falcons had a total 48 kills and a .270 attack percentage in match one.
Lexi Pingel led the Falcons defensively with 21 digs,
Michaela Piechowski with 13 digs and
Brianna Muetzel with 11.
Amara Meyer ended the match with 3 blocks.
The second match was another close one but Northwestern (18-7) left the victors. 22-25, 23-25, 15-25.

Raven Klein led with 26 assists,
Michaela Piechowski and
Lexi Pingel each with 3 assists. Gasper led again with kills ending with 11, followed closely by
Brianna Muetzel with 9, and
Molly Monahan with 7 kills. The Falcons had a total 38 kills and attack percentage of .209.
Gasper led defensively with 4 blocks, Klein with 2 and Piechowski with 1 block.

Next up for the Falcons, continuing at UW-Eau Claire Invitational, Saturday the 17th, first match against Concordia College Moorhead at 10 a.m. Second, against Buena Vista University at 2 p.m.
