Alex Herink scored a game-high 20 points, and the UW-River Falls men's basketball team just keep winning. The Falcons used a 54-point second half to defeat UW-Superior 92-63 at home.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Herink led the Falcons to another solid offensive performance. His 20 points was just one of five different Falcons to score in double figures in the game.
- The Yellowjackets would keep up with the Falcons early on in the first half. The two teams exchanged the lead six times in the first seven minutes.
- UWRF would take the lead for good with a layup from Clay Seifert with 12:54 to go in the first half.
- The Falcons would use an 11-0 run to lead 23-13 with 7:08 to go in the first half. Five different Falcons scored during the run. UWRF would continue their push, and lead 38-28 at the halftime buzzer.
- Off the bench, Brennan Witt had the high for UWRF in the first half with nine points. Devin Buckley scored eight and Garret Pearson scored seven.
- UW-Superior would pull within two points less than two minutes into second half with a 10-2 run.
- Herink would convert an and-one and River Falls would subsequently go on an 11-2 run to take back control. UW-Superior would never come closer than eight points in the last 16:03 of the game.
- Bursting with 54 second half points, Herink scored 17 of those points on 7-8 shooting and 2-3 from the three point line. UWRF shot 19-32 (59.38 percent) from the floor in the second half alone.
- In their fifth straight win, the Falcons shot 34-67 (50.7 percent) from the floor and made seven three pointers.
- UWRF dominated the paint with 44 points to the Yellowjackets 32.
- 41 points for UWRF came from the bench on the night. The largest lead of the game for UWRF was 29 points.

- So far this season, Herink is shooting the lights out going 49-88 (55.7 percent) from the floor, 15-30 (50 percent) from the three point line, and 21-24 (87.5 percent) from the free throw line.
- Buckley had another solid game with 15 on the night. He was 5-11 from the floor.
- Big bench performances came from Seifert and Witt. Each of the two scored 11 points with Witt elevating for five rebounds.
- Pearson was the final Falcon in double figures with 10 points on 4-5 shooting.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Yellowjackets got three scorers in double figures in the game. Rafael Monteiro scored 15 to lead UW-Superior. Montroy Scott scored 14 as well.
- UW Superior was 26-67 (38.8 percent) from the field and sank six three pointers. The team shot better in the second half going 16-38 (42.1 percent) from the floor.
- 32 of the Yellowjacket points came from the paint. 11 of their points were second chance points.

Next for UW-River Falls will be a road contest against Carleton College (3-3) on December 14
th at 7 p.m. The Falcons will stay on the road against Hamline (3-3) on December 17
