Mike Fazio added two assists to give the Falcons a 3-2 win over Bethel.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons dominated play early until Mason Van Tuyl was called for a penalty just 5 minutes into the first period. The Falcons killed off the Van Tuyl penalty and earned a power play of their own when George Splichal was called for tripping.
- The Falcons would need just over a minute of power play time before Mitch Kontny found the back of the net to put the Falcons up 1-0. He was assisted on the power play goal by Michael Fazio.
- The Falcons would go on the power play again less than 2 minutes later but were unable to push their lead to 2.
- Danny Hamburg was called for roughing at the 16:56 mark of the period putting the Falcons shorthanded.
- Mike Dietrich would score a shorthanded goal just 30 seconds into the Bethel power play to put the Falcons up 2-0. He was assisted on the goal by senior Mike Fazio.
- The Falcons killed off the rest of the Hamburg penalty and the first period ended with the Falcons up 2-0.
- The second period was filled with penalties on both teams.
- Bethel finally broke through on the power play at the 16:38 mark of the period to cut the Falcon lead to 2-1.
- The period came to an end as both teams traded penalties in the final 4 minutes of play, with the Falcons having 1:35 remaining in a power play to start the 3rd period.
- The Falcons needed 44 seconds of the third period before they pushed their lead back to 2. Michael Lant scored on the Falcon power play to make the score 3-1. He was assisted on the goal by Mitch Kontny.
- Just over the half way point of the third period the Royals cut the Falcon lead to 1, when Kurtis Redding found the back of the net.
- The Falcons killed off one more penalty and survived an extra attacker late when the Royals pulled their goalie to secure the 1 goal victory 3-2.
- In a game where 17 penalties were called, the Falcon special teams made the difference with 2 power play goals and 1 short handed goal. The Falcons went 2-6 on the power play, while Bethel went 1-9.
- Freshman goaltender Zach Quinn made 27 saves to get the victory for the Falcons
