ST. PAUL, MN. – (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls Tennis team wrapped up their spring season against Hamline this past week. The Falcons fell 0-9 to the Pipers.
Kelsey Hochberger played very well for the Falcons at #1 singles. She won her first set 6-3 over Hamline's Jordan Danielson, but lost the second set 6-1. Kelsey battled hard in the 10 point tie breaker but fell 10-8.
Coach Stumpf had the following comments on the match, "Our players finished the year on a really positive note. The effort they gave against a solid MIAC team is reflected in the quality of the matches. Our players continue to improve. I am excited for this group of returning players to get started in the Fall season and we will hit the ground running."
The Falcons wrapped up their season with a combined record of 0-15. The Falcons will return every member of this year's team with the exception of Senior
Kelsey Hochberger who has played #1 singles and doubles for the Falcons all season.
