Box Score Whitewater, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – With 37-points coming from their bench, the No. 7 UW-River Falls men's basketball team won their 11
th straight win and ran away with a 90-74 victory over the UW-Whitewater Warhawks.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Alex Herink helped UWRF jump out to a first half lead scoring 14 points on 6-8 shooting, and the Falcons never trailed in the second half in route to their fourth straight win over the Warhawks.
- UW-River Falls opened up the game with a 10-3 run with scores by four different Falcons.
- UW-Whitewater would close the gap to just one point with 13:08 to go in the first half with six straight points on an and-one and a three pointer.
- UWRF established their lead once again, but the Warhawks would not back down tying the game at 25 with 5:19 to go in the first half.
- UW-Whitewater would take their first lead at 4:43 on a layup by Chris Jones.
- Herink came up big after Whitewater was back in the game with a triple at 2:44 and another at 1:08 to help the Falcons grab the lead for good. At the half, the Falcons led 39-31.
- In the second half, UW-Whitewater came within six points at 18:02, but UWRF scored eight straight points and didn't look back for the rest of the game.
- The largest lead of the game for UWRF came at 14:30 in the second half at 18 points.

IN-DEPTH LOOK
- Herink was the leader offensively despite just one point in the second half due to foul trouble. He finished with 15 points on 6-9 shooting and added three rebounds, two assists, and a block.
- For the game, the Falcons shot 32-57 (56.1 percent) from the floor, this is the second time this season the Falcons have shot at least 56 percent from the floor.
- Sophomore guard Clay Seifert scored 13 points for UWRF with much of his work coming from the free throw line going 7-9. He added four assists, and two steals.
- Grant Erickson had another stellar performance at the point guard position. In 32 minutes, Erickson had nine points and eight assists and zero turnovers.
- Along with Erickson, Garret Pearson, Austin Heidecker, and Brennan Witt scored nine points.
- Julian Jackson also came off the bench and scored eight points on 3-4 shooting, and grabbed five rebounds in nine minutes of action.
- UWRF had the edge in the paint, the Falcons scored 44 points in the paint, UW-Whitewater scored 36.
- The Falcons dominated the rebound battle in the game having a 45-33 advantage over the Warhawks.
THE OPPOSITION
- Whitewater was led by Derek Rongstad who scored 15 points on 6-13 shooting with of his field goals coming from the three point line.
- UW-Whitewater had many second chance opportunities having 14 of their 33 rebounds coming on the offensive glass.
- The Warhawks shot 27-69 (39.1 percent) from the floor, but just 12-21 (57.1 percent) from the free throw line.
