Hunter Vorva was strong in net as the Falcons beat the Gusties 4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Aussie Miller scored the first goal of the night for the Falcons at the 10:34 mark of the first period. The goal was Miller's 2nd goal of the season. He was assisted on the goal by Mike Dietrich and Mike Fazio.
- The Falcons pushed their lead to 2-0, when Michael Lant scored on the power play at the 12:11 mark of the period. The goal was Lant's 6th goal of the season and his 3rd power play goal. He was assisted on the goal by Mitch Kontny and Joe Drapluk.
- The Falcons were called for too many men on the ice late in the first period, but the Falcon penalty killers and goalie Hunter Vorva would not let the Gusties score as the first period ended with the Falcons up 2-0.
- The Falcon penalty killers would be tested early in the second period when Mitch Kontny was called for interference at the 1:45 mark of the period. The Falcons would once again kill off the penalty and keep their 2 goal lead.
- Jake Bushey would cut the Falcon lead in half at the 10:21 mark of the period.
- Eddie Matsushima would push the Falcon lead back to 2, at 3-1, when he found the back of the net with a shot that deflected and knuckled over the goalies glove.
- The Falcons would kill off a Mason Van Tuyl penalty late in the period, but Ryan Doner was called for slashing at the end of the second period.
- The second period ended with the Falcons up 3-1.
- The third period began with the Falcons killing off the Doner penalty.
- Mike Fazio would add an empty net goal late to seal the Falcon victory at 4-1.
- Hunter Vorva got his first victory of the season in net for the Falcons, stopping 22 of 23 shots he faced.
- The Falcons out shot the Gusties 32-23.
THE OPPOSITION
- Jake Bushey scored the lone goal of the night for the Gusties.
- Isaak Tjaden stopped 28 shots in net for the Gusties.
- Van Sullivan won 11 of 16 faceoffs he took.
