Ashland, WI (uwrfsports.com) - The UW-River Falls women's hockey team took on the Northland College Lumberjills for the second straight day on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons dominated from start to finish, with 9 different Falcons scoring a goal en route to 10-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons dominated the early part of the first period, until Victoria Holman was called for tripping at the 4:18 mark of the period. The Falcons would kill off the first part of the penalty, but then would go down a second player when Dani Sibley was called for cross-checking at the 5:59 mark of the period. The Falcons would kill of the 5 on 3 power play and then draw a penalty on Northland to negate the rest of the Sibley penalty leading to 4 on 4 hockey.
- The Falcons would strike for their first goal of the night at the 9:09 mark of the period when Lydia Wagner scored for the Falcons. The goal was Wagner's second of the season. She was assisted on the goal by Dani Sibley and Bella Wagner.
- Less than a minute after taking the lead, Kathryn Larson scored to put the Falcons up 2-0. The goal was Larson's 3rd goal on the season. She was assisted on the goal by Ashley Effertz.
- Payton Rudiger would strike for the Falcons at the 13:35 mark of the period to put the Falcons up 3-0. The goal was Payton's 3rd of the season and she was assisted on the goal by Ashley Effertz.
- The Falcons would add one more goal in the 1st period when Carly Moran scored at the 16:06 mark of the period. She was assisted on her goal by Erica Schramel.
- The first period ended with the Falcons up 4-0. UWRF out shot Northland 24-3 in the period.
- The second period began much like the first with the Falcons dominating play until they were called for a penalty at the 1:43 mark of the period.
- The Falcons would kill off the penalty and go onto add 3 more goals to their 4-0 lead.
- The first Falcon goal of the second period was scored by Jessie Anderson at the 5:53 mark of the period. The goal was Anderson's 4th of the season.
- Haley Nielsen would continue the scoring for the Falcons when she made it 6-0 at the 17:10 mark of the second period.
- Dani Sibley would score the final goal of the period at the 18:56 mark to put the Falcons up 7-0 after two periods.
- The Falcons out shot the Lumberjills 15-5 in the period.
- The Falcons would add 3 more goals in the third period to cruise to a 10-0 victory.
- Scoring in the third period for the Falcons were, Amy Auran, Victoria Holman and Dani Sibley.
- Tatyana Delaittre played the first two periods in net for the Falcons making 8 saves.
- Kendra Carlson game in to play goalie in the third period and stopped all 4 shots she faced.

- Chloe Marshall played all three periods in net for the Lumberjills, making 45 saves on the night.
- Ally Covert and Allyson Reilly lead the Lumberjills with 3 shots a piece.
LOOKING AHEAD
- The Falcons will travel to take on St. Olaf on Wednesday January 18th. Puck drop is set for 7:30pm.
- The Falcons will return home next weekend Jan. 20th and 21st to take on WIAC rival UW-Stevens Point on Friday at 7:05pm and Saturday at 2:05pm.
