OSHKOSH, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls football team took a tough 31-28 loss to UW-Oshkosh at Titan Stadium. The Falcons overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to take the lead more than halfway through the 4
th quarter. A late touchdown by UW-Oshkosh though proved to be too much to overcome.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-OSHKOSH
- UW-River Falls was the first to score as Ben Beckman connected with Trenton Monson on a 49-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter. The extra point gave the Falcons a 7-0 lead.
- That lead lasted only 16 seconds as UW-Oshkosh returned the following kickoff 98 yards to tie the game.
- The Falcons responded to the kickoff return with a 9 play, 54 yard drive that consumed over 4 and a half minutes of game time. The drive ended with Michael Diggins powering in from 3 yards out to put the Falcons back on top 14-7.
- UW-Oshkosh would score the next 17 points of the quarter to give the Titans a 24-14 lead going into halftime.
- Michael Diggins would put the Falcons back on top with 2 touchdowns runs in the second half. The first happened early in the 3rd quarter as he ran in from a yard out to bring the Falcons within 3. Then halfway through the 4th quarter he powered in from 5 yards out.
