HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST NORTHLAND COLLEGE
  • The Northland College Lumberjacks took a 1-0 lead in the first period on the rush. Michael Courvois came into the Falcons zone, and his shot went wide of the net. Kalib Ford picked up the rebound circled around the net, and passed it out front where Jason Reynolds beat Zach Quinn on the glove side for the lead.
  • Zach Quinn made 10 saves in the 1st period for the Falcons.
  • The 2nd period saw plenty of back-and-forth action on the ice, but it was the Falcons getting the only goal.  Late in the period, Christian Hausinger skated into the Northland zone, and fired a wrist shot that goalie Victor Forslund couldn't hold onto.  Charlie Singerhouse took the rebound, and beat Forslund low on the blocker side to tie the score at 1-1.
  • The Falcons would take their first lead of the game late in the 3rd when Singerhouse put home another rebound, this time off the stick of Eddie Matsushima.  It was Singerhouse's 2nd goal of the game, and the game winner.
  • Eddie Matsushima assisted on both goals.
  • Zach Quinn made 24 saves in net for the Falcons.

THE OPPOSITION
  • Lucas DeBenedet won 10 of 12 Faceoffs during the game.
