St. Paul, Min.  (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls Men's Hockey team went into Oscar Johnson Arena to face the Hamline Pipers, and came out with a 4-2 victory.  Eddie Matsushima and Aussie Miller each had a goal and an assist for the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST HAMLINE

• The Pipers took the early 1-0 on the Falcons, but the Falcons would tie the score when Peter Karavos would net his 3^rd goal of the season.  Eddie Matsushima and Aussie Miller would get assists on the goal.
• The Pipers would retake the lead late in the first to go into the first intermission with a 2-1 lead.
• UW-River Falls would strike quickly in the 2^nd as Aussie Miller would score just 12 seconds into the period to tie the score at 2-2.
• The Falcons would add two power play goals to pull away from the Pipers.  The first came 6 minutes after Miller's goal as Joe Drapluk netted his 2^nd of the season.
• The next power play goal came late in the 3^rd period as Eddie Matsushima scored unassisted to push the lead to 4-2.
• Zach Quinn made 23 saves in net for the Falcons.

 
THE OPPOSITION

• Mitch McPherson and Mitch Benfield scored for the Hamline Pipers.
• Justin Quale made 26 saves in net.
