RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team shot 74 percent from the floor in the first half, and dominated the UW-Superior at home by a score of 98-68.

WHAT HAPPENED
- The Falcons came out hot in the first half shooting 74 percent from the floor and scoring 51 points.
- The Yellow Jackets challenged in the first three minutes of the half but the Falcons quickly took control going on a 20-6 run.
- The Falcons would go on a nine point run at 3:45 to give them the biggest lead of the half, a 24 point advantage.
- At the half the Falcons led by 24 points, with Austin Heidecker leading the Falcons scoring with eleven.
- Clay Seifert started the second half with a three pointer that put the Falcons up 27 points.
- Then scoring eight straight points capped off by an Alex Herink layup, the Falcons were in full control, up by 34 points with 9:34 to go in the game.
- The largest lead of the game came with a dunk by Ross Ingersoll, putting the lead up to 40 points.
- The Yellow Jackets answered with an 11-2 run that would get them within 30 points.
IN-DEPTH LOOK
- The Falcons saw eleven different plays score in the contest. They were led by Austin Heidecker who came off the bench to score 17 points on 6-7 shooting and 5-7 shooting from the charity stripe. He also added nine rebounds.
- Three other Falcons would register double digit points. Brennan Witt had 14 points on 7-7 shooting. Alex Herink and Ross Ingersoll each had 10 points. Herink was 5-9 from the floor with seven rebounds.
- As a team, the Falcons shot 41-67 (61.2 percent) from the field.
THE OPPOSITION
- Four of the Yellow Jackets had double digit points. Shaq Coleman had 19 points on 7-12 shooting. Vid Milenkovic had 16 points and was 6-10 from the floor. He also recorded 10 rebounds. Montroy Scott had 11 points and Colton Williams had 10.
- UW-Superior was 24-60 (40 percent) from the floor, and 11-27 (19 percent) from distance.
- The five starters collected all but three of the Yellow Jackets 68 points.
