RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team rebounded in the second half to take the 72-69 win over undefeated Carleton College Saturday afternoon at Page Arena.

WHAT HAPPENED
- The game began with each team trading buckets, with the lead changing four times and the Falcons tying it up times in the first half.
- The Falcons tied it up 27-27 with 6:51 remaining in the half and took a 6-3 run before Carleton regained the lead and finished out the half up 41-36.
- The Knights finished the first half shooting an impressive 58.6 from the floor. Kevin Grow had fifteen points on 7-11 shooting. The Falcons shot 45.5 percent from the floor and were led by Clay Seifert who had eleven points on 5-6 shooting.
- The Falcons quickly found themselves down thirteen points in the start of the second half as the Knights went on a 10-2 run in the first three minutes.
- The Knights maintained their lead until 3:55 when Brennan Witt made a layup to tie the game up 66-66.
- Alex Herink turned over the ball and the Knights took back the lead 68-66. It would be their last and as Brennan Witt broke away and dunked to tie it up and give the Falcons the advantage.
- Devin Buckley stole the ball and scored to give the Falcons the leg up 70-68. Clay Seifert sealed the Falcon win with two free throw shots.
- The Falcons outshot the Knights and were able to convert their shots beyond the arc making 4-10 vs the Knights 1-6.
IN-DEPTH LOOK
- Clay Seifert led the Falcon offense with 16 points on 6-11 shooting. He also added two steals, two assists, and four rebounds.
- Alex Herink and Brennan Witt were the other Falcons in double-figures each scoring 12 points. Herink shot 5-14 from the floor while Witt finished 6-10 and had six rebounds.
- The bench combined for 21 points and were led by Matthew Timlin who had six points.
- The Falcons shot 30-65 (46.2 percent) from the floor. UWRF nailed seven shots from beyond the three point line.
- From the free throw line the Falcons shot 5-9 (55.6 percent).
THE OPPOSITION
- The Knights had three players in double-figures. Kevin Grow was the leading scorer of the night with 29 points on 13-20 shooting. He also completed a double double with 12 rebounds.
- Joh Farmer had 11 points on 5-10 shooting. He also had three assists and a steal.
- Ryan Casperson came off the bench for ten points and nine rebounds.
- From the floor the Knights shot 29-57 (50.9 percent) and connected on five of the 15 attempts from beyond the arc. From the free throw line, Carleton shot 6-11 (54.5 percent).
