Eau Claire, WI (uwrfsports.com) The UW-River Falls women's hockey team traveled to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to take on the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds for the second time this season. The Falcons suffered their second consecutive loss to the Blugolds and their second loss of the season by the score of 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Angie Hall played the entire duration of the game for the Falcons and had a total of 12 saves and 3 goals allowed.
• The first penalty of the game came on Emily Stark for interference. This penalty came 9 minutes into the first period and put the Blugolds on power play.
• The Falcons were able to fend off the Blugolds and keep the score 0-0.
• Kelly Knetter scored the first Blugold goal to make the score 1-0 at 14:29 in the first period. Elizabeth Bauer assisted the goal.
• 12 seconds into the second period, Holly Turnball received a penalty for hooking to put the Falcons on power play.
• At 2:12 in the second period, Holly Turnball was released from the penalty box to put UW-Eau Claire back on full strength.
• At the 6-minute mark, Emily Bauer scored a goal to put the Blugolds up 2-0. The goal was unassisted.
• Abby Roeser received a penalty for interference at 13:30. The Falcons were unable to put the puck in the net and the score stayed 2-0.
• Lydia Wagner received a penalty for roughing at 15:53. The Falcons were able to kill off the penalty to keep the score 2-0.

• Emily Bauer received a penalty for crosschecking at 4:14 to put the Blugolds back on penalty kill.
• Jennifer Thomsen slid into Angie Hall and would be called for goaltender interference at 7:35 in the third period. The Falcons didn't score on the power play.
• Emily Bauer received her second penalty of the game for tripping 11:49 in the third period.
• Hailey Herdine scored on the power play to put the Falcons on the board. Carly Moran and Dani Sibley assisted the goal.
• Carina Randazzo received a penalty for roughing at 13:26 to put the Falcons on penalty kill.
